Re: Flipping a SJ21 inside a one car garage.
I sold my beloved SJ a few years ago to change my fleet to (several) beach boats, but I am impressed with your efforts! Give me a fixed point and I will move the world! Stay safe.

Re: Broken Keel Cable
Talk to Stephen at: http://www.sjsailboats.com/parts.php I replaced a cable with the keel up and don't recall it being too difficult, but it was a while ago and I may have forgotten the details. I also replaced the block at the same time and remember I had to drill a small hole in the side of the tr...

Electrics (was Re: Jib Causing Over-steer - HELP!)
I used adhesive backed cable tie mounts, which I removed the adhesive and epoxied into place--a bit of a hassle but they stayed put. I ran wires in wire loom and zip tied them to the mounts (black zip ties don't break down with UV exposure). I did have the Clark fuse panel in the starboard cabinet, ...

Re: trailer boards
Yeah, likewise I converted my roller trailer (bad idea for SJs) to quad 2x6 bunks. Supports the hull much better.
After this picture, I added an additional keel support.- Fri Jul 15, 2016 11:19 am

Re: trailer boards
I considered something like Trex, but in the end it seemed like they weren't stiff enough to support my boat.

Includes kick-up rudder, working LED nav and interior lights, Plastimo compass, Garmin depth finder, interior cushions, anchor, whisker pole, swim l...

Re: Boom Tie Down
Similar thread recently under the General Forum. . . Yours is the same arrangement I have on my boat. I don't typically adjust the downhaul that often on my boat, but maybe adding a block for 3:1 (or more) similar to this: http://www.murrays.com/01-1028.html or this: http://www.murrays.com/07-2089-1...

Re: Boom Downhaul
Yes, I think it fits in the track--must be a couple nuts in the track (I don't have boat nearby at the moment, but that's my recollection).
I think it looks like PN "MCleet" here: http://www.sjsailboats.com/parts.php.
