Re: Hi everyone!
Hi Jim, We just bought a '76 MK 1 and put it in the water for a couple of days this week. We are also reworking the trailer and I was wondering about the pictures you mentioned. We are looking for ideas since the bunks we have now are not doing a proper job. How can we get these pictures? Our boat s...

Re: New (old) SJ21 Owner
Thanks Diarmuid. We have heard of that get together in Havasu but didn't have a boat. I think the fact that the SJ21 is an oversize dinghy is why Rick talked us into buying it. He used to import a B-14 (and others) from Australia in the late '80s. It was the forerunner to the Olympic Class 49er by t...

Re: Shroud Tension
New here so I've been reading everything. Is this info old about tuning (shroud tension) http://members.shaw.ca/SJFleet28/ . You may have to click on the tuning ideas link to get there. I'm sure a lot of it depends on the cut of a sail (Sails) and requires adjusting underway to get the perfect sail ...

Rudder Rebuild, Spinnaker Thoughts
Hi All, We have the kick up rudder and are in the process of rebuilding it. It has the wood core and is the minimum length according to the rules. For racing does this minimum length work best (less wetted area) or do factors such as steerage play a bigger factor (wind force dependent I'm sure) and ...

New (old) SJ21 Owner
Hi All, I just purchased a '76 MK1 (SN 1546) last week in Dillon CO. I'm not sure of the sail number but will post up what we find this week. I've been sailing one time but my first mate (boyfriend, roommate, SO) and instructor has been sailing 40 years and has a few One Design Championships under h...
