I'm in Raleigh, but would travel to Chesapeake. My company is based in DC.

Since I usually know if I’m gonna need it or not given the conditions of set up, I don’t have mine rigged all the time. I don’t honestly know if mine is “right” but it has worked many times. I tie off my reefing line to the pad eye, then through the reefing grommet on the sail, then the cheek block....

Oh man, I totally slept through that announcement. I would have potentially attended as I am in NC. Now have tickets to a music festival in Kentucky that weekend. Some day I will make my racing debut!!

Pull the electrical panel. There may not even be a wire hooked up. Old ones likely need replacing too, so just pull the panel and do a general clean up. Here is a complete rebuild I did than can help

The summer is completely different and more predictable. Being becalmed is the bigger worry then. What I like about the Pamlico/Albemarle sounds is that it is so big and has so many finger lakes you can plan your sail around the wind speed and direction.
