SJ21 MkII For Sail in Northern Michigan

Post by JimW » Sun Jul 10, 2016 9:50 pm

Sadly, we have too many boats and I need to let our beloved SJ go to someone who can sail her more.

Details:
  • 1979 MkII #2263 in good working condition. Includes kick-up rudder, working LED nav and interior lights, Plastimo compass, Garmin depth finder, interior cushions, anchor, whisker pole, swim ladder, adjustable backstay, etc. Newer keel cable and hardware, keel gasket, and many other improvements.
Two sets of sails: original main and jib well-worn "practice" sails, and very good mylar main plus newer and still "crispy" dacron jib.
Honda BF2a motor in excellent condition.
Karavan galvanized heavy-duty trailer in very good condition.
Price: $2500

We have sailed this boat on Lake Erie, Huron, Michigan, Superior and several other inland lakes, including week-long cruises living aboard (primitive, but more comfortable than a tent and room in the cabin for four).

Currently on Old Mission Peninsula in Traverse City, 1/2 mile from boat launch (easy to take a test sail). Please email or text with words "San Juan". Thanks!
