Brand New Mainsail for SJ21

Post by boodak » Sun Feb 24, 2013 10:39 pm

I bought this fantastic Rolly Tasker Mainsail for my old SJ21 but found that the deck core and transom repairs were just not worth the expense so this sail has only been out of the back to inspect it when delivered and today before posting this...has never been on the boat. If you are not familiar with Rolly Tasker Sails (of California) check out their website at http://www.rollytasker.com/en/home.aspx ...great sails and in business since 1949. This is an extremely well made, high quality 5 oz. sail. Standard features are as follows...
Luff...23.0'
Leech...24.40'
Foot...8.80'
High Modulus Dacron Crosscut
- Seams two rows with UV stabilised thread
- Pressed rings with webbing
- Heavy radial patches
- Strong batten pockets and tapes with double row stitching
- Mainsails feature nylon glass reinforced headboards
and luff hardware shackled on
- Leech line with Clam Cleat
- One draft stripe for visual reference of draft position
- Full rows of Tell-tales
- Large sail bag

My sail has some extras...set of new battens, heavy duty reinforcements at tack & clew, etc.

I honestly don't remember how much I paid for it...a little over $800 I believe. Tell me what you think is fair. I have moved down to a West Wight Potter 15 so don't need this any more...will put it on ebay in a few weeks but thought I would post it here first.

Snow is melting...Time to sail!

Hi David; Do you still have this sail for sale? If so, where are you (for shipping cost calculation).
