So Kermit is register and so is Jessie. I've heard that cklamp is coming and I know that Capt. Woogy is coming. We should realistically have 10 boats from Fleet 1. Should also have JSRandle and 3-4 other boats from Coos bay. How about it Blue Pearl, how many boats from MT are you bringing? Krysia Ry and Charmed Juan, you guys in? Would be great to see Tim, Dennis, Rio and several others from Lewiston and I know YellowJacket will be there. Also need to reach out to Sergio and Marty in Boise. Yep, I'm calling everybody out... even Mary.

I've also heard that the alcohol for Thursday night's Fleet 1 reception will be generously sponsored by Carlton and Aggie Brown (#810) from the Florida fleet after their showing at the 2013 St. Pete NOOD. I think we'll win the bet this year. Carlton, please contact Chris Popich for a shipping address. ;)

Yeah, I haven't registered yet, but Mizu #897 should be there ready to rock with her yearly blast of improvements that seem to be tightening the speed gap every year:) I don't have Rob this year, but have another highly experienced Crew that has sailed with me before.

AFAIK yes, Charmed Juan (Stephen Jensen) will be there in spinn class... and Paul Von Stubbe will be there in working sails with his new boat. I think I heard the Randle's aren't going to be able to make it this year, I didn't hear first hand though, so not 100% sure on that one.

OK everyJuan, It's time to get off the pot, step up and get registered. We had our best year ever last year with 15 boats but that is just not good enough. It's been our goal from year one, and it's still our goal… over 20 boats on the line! We've got 4 on the list so far and the most in any other fleet is 9, so bust out the plastic and get registered. May 10th is the deadline but why wait.

The regatta will again be our NW District Championship with perpetual trophies and NOOD awards for both divisions, working sails and spinnaker (main, jib and spinnaker) That is providing we get more than 6 in each group. And as we've done in the past we'll all race together with one start.

Word has it our Vice-Commodore East, Carlton, will graciously host our welcoming event on Thursday night on the docks… Marc better repack those bearings so you're not late again!

Here's the link with everything you need to get registered.

If you have any questions on any of it just let me know, plus, give us a heads up with your intentions.

Pretty cool when you can hop on the website for a prestigious regatta and their pre-event publicity features a great shot of our favorite boats and even a blurb on our sailors.

Our numbers are disappointingly low this year but it won't dampen our enthusiasm. I guess it just means more rum for the rest of us. It also means that we will have to forego Carlton's "St Pete vs Seattle" bet for another year. 8 boats is not nearly enough, but we will gladly accept it next year when we get over 20 on the line.

They should have have pictures and videos up daily so check it out starting Friday.

In the mean time we'll be busy trying to protect our local waters of the dreaded "Invasive Green Amphibian" from east of the mountains.
