Centerboard trunk.

Post by GWK2013 » Thu Sep 12, 2013 4:43 pm

I can get a 21 for free with reasonable sails and a good trailer.
Looks like the board pivot was damaged and came through the hull on the right side. The fix looks Iffy. I would need to rebuild it before using. Is it worth rebuilding? or just keep looking for a good deal?

As the saying goes, "there is no such thing as a free boat". Any pics of the damage?

As Bill said, pics would greatly help to assess what you're in for.

I haven't heard from Diarmuid for a while, but he did a nice write up with a lot of pictures on how he did his repairs over on the Fleet 1 forums. maybe that will help you to understand what is needed to do to get it up to snuff.
