The 2018 schedule consisted of seven events which one was canceled by the organizing authority, one event we did not even get to sail but we had a pretty good time, and no one sailed in the Labor Day Regatta. This left us with a total of five races to score.
The NOR states: “9.3 When six regattas have been completed, the boats worst regatta score will be discarded.” All scores stand for the 2018 travel series.
Competing in four events and capturing a first in the Lightning and SJ21 New Year Regatta, the Mount Dora Regatta and the Ocala Invitational Regatta along with placing in the Sanford Sailfest Regatta, congratulations goes to Team Justice helmed by Randy Pawlowski as they scored five points for the series.
The trophy will be awarded on the January 26th during the Lake Monroe Sailing Associations “After Christmas Party”.
This Saturday is the last club race for LMSA where we will choose the San Juan 21 club champion. Hope to see a lot of SJ21’s on the water at this last race of 2018.
The 2019 NOR will be coming to all the fleet and any other SJ21 sailors that want to join in on the fun.
