Kyle Everly and his wife Kara gratiously hosted a BBQ Dinner at their home on August 20.
40 SJ21 skippers, crew and family attended the pot luck event.
Everyone enjoyed sharing ideas, great food and visiting with friends.
Our first organizational meeting followed dessert.
We now have 18 SJ vessels in our growing fleet.
14 of them are already sailing and 3 are very close to being ready to race.
The enthusiasm for sailing our beautiful old boats is contagious.
Lake Monroe Sailing Assiciation hosted their Fall Regatta on October 1 & 2.
35 boats raced. The San Juans made a class with 7 racers.
We chose to race All Sails with some very close racing.
Fisk Hayden finished first, Kyle Everly second and D.J. McCabe third after 6 races.
Update from fleet 29
Re: Update from fleet 29
Aggie is right on. Lots of good San Juan sailing going on in central Florida. I haven't made many of the summer regattas but a few of us have consistently showed up for our Wednesday Night Rum Races. The San Juan 21s are the boats to beat in our club.
