Camping at the NA's - Options

Hello everyone, I've had a couple people request camping locations\spots for the NA's this June in Oak Harbor. The marina itself has limited camping locations, and can only accommodate 4-5 tents, and as of today 5/12 those spots are taken by the only 2 parties to have emailed me asking about them.

If you're wanting to save a little money on accommodations there are a couple of other options left.
1. Sleep on your boat, free and while I haven't taken up this option before, the finger docks look to be well protected so it should be a pretty quiet nights sleep.
2. The finger docks can be reconfigured to accommodate a tent, but they are cement, so you'll want to bring a tarp to keep your tent from scraping, and you'll also have to let us know asap so we can have the docks reconfigured to have that space available as they usually have picnic tables up on them.
3. If you check out the "attractions" document that we've posted in the forums, and on the NA's page of the website, there is a link to the Staysail RV Park. It is located about 1 mile from the Marina. Tent spots are 15$ per night, and RV slots are 25$ per night. There are also numerous state parks listed in the document that are really enjoyable to stay at.
4. Numerous hotels are in the area as well, and a few Fleet 1 members have chosen this option.

As always, feel free to email me if you have any questions. cklamp at live dot com

Thanks
Christian

A few more camping spots have been opened up as the Harbormaster was able to get permission from the parks department to put some tents up on the parks department owned park next to the marina.

It's still limited space, but if you're looking to save a bit of money, it's another option... But be warned, you'll be camping next to Sparky:)
