New owner of two San Juan 21s in E. TN

Hello everyone! I recently become the proud owner of two San Juan 21s and I will be restoring one of them out of two. The one I will be restoring is a 1984 #2560, I'm guessing it's one of the last ones. It is from Raleigh, NC. The other one is from Indiana then it was re licensed here in TN, I think it is a 1976 MK2 #CLK217060576 (I hope I'm reading the number right) with a sail number and hull ID# of 1673. I've got almost all the parts from both boats to make one, of course it needs new lines but the rigging (between the two) is in good shape. I will need to make new bulkheads for the chainplates which brings me to my biggest question, do I need to tab them in for cruising? The only other question I have is where could I find any history on these especially the one that says EDNA's WBD9908 on it (the 1984 one). Thank you very much!
