Mike "Ragtop" Robinson 1694

Hello all....Mike "Ragtop" Robinson # 1694 here. Nan and I are long time members and SJ 21 owners. We owned #379 "Obi Juan" for a number of years, and have moved on to #1694 Ragtop, a 1976 Mark I about 12 years ago. We belong to Fleet 38 at the Lake Norman Yacht Club. We have actively raced and crusied all over the east coast. We have raced at the Eastern Nationals, Western Nationals, Canadian Nationals, Midwinter Nationals and North Americans (in Kansas)...while we have two second place finishes at Midwinters and one top 5 at an Eastern Nationals, we are probably better known for our cruising the Outer Banks and raising two kids while sailing the 21's. We also love to bring along a guitar and sing around the campfire (Jimmy Buffet a specialty).

Just a bit more...I am a Past National Commdore, Jibsheet Editor and Past Commodore of the Lake Norman YC. http://www.lnyc.org/

That said - we love the people we have met through our San Juan 21 - we loved the Fleet X (Fleet 56) experience in SC, and are indebted to all our Sj friends who supported us in giving Kevin and Amanda a great understanding of what a fun, family racing class can be.
