Virtual Sailing!
Cool, add us to our friends list. And currently, I am the boat to beat
Re: Virtual Sailing!
I am in the back of the pack. Just like a SJ21 race!!!!
Re: Virtual Sailing!
Congrats to Habagat for rounding the mark first.
Re: Virtual Sailing!
Bit of a lead change this weekend:) I knew I couldn't catch fausto following him, so I Hail Mary'd it far south, and am a few thousand places up on him now.
Also welcome Sj21BoB, should be Bill Jenks... Looks like he got the shaft though as he just recently got past the straight of gibralter.

Re: Virtual Sailing!
It has been a painful couple of days. Sailed into a low pressure and you caught the stronger winds below me. Not enough distance and time to recapture my lead. Well played, well played!
Re: Virtual Sailing!
It's been painful but misery loves company and there are 4 of us still racing together Congrats to 1Mizu who is under 100 nm from the finish.
Re: Virtual Sailing!
Well I guess we went off the edge of the world. Last I saw, black Jack was running northwest (back to Florida?) to get away, Chris was within 20 km and boom......... Leg 1 was over with less than 240 km to go. Good thing it was only virtual, or was it?

Re: Virtual Sailing!
Hehe, all in good fun Bill:) at least you can start the next leg with everyone else:)
Note: you can set your starting "heading" 24 hours before the horn, so you don't have to be there the second it goes off... Good idea to check in shortly after it starts though, since the winds change every 12 hours or so as they upload new real time data.
Hopefully those of you who joined us for the first time had fun... It's always nice to have more boats to "Race" against, especially when they're people you see every few days on the forums:)

Re: Virtual Sailing!
I think it's the first time I've had the "Laggard Rule" called on me. I better step up my game for the next leg.

Re: Virtual Sailing!
always a first time for everything:)
Leg 2 looks to be open now, so you can set your course, and be pointed away from rock:) The leg starts Sunday morning it looks like.
