I found this MkI in rough shape, an ugly duckling if you will. Well, she isn't so ugly any more, so she is just "The Duck".
My name is Ben. Im in Bellingham, Wa, and Im 26. I hope to see you on the water!

Ben, very cool... I'm part of Fleet 1 in Seattle, and I remember seeing that boat on CL a while back. There are 3 other Fixed Keel's over in Brownsville, Wa, on the back side of Bainbridge island. We invited them to race at our National's event the last time we held it, but their scheduling didn't work out.
You should keep in touch with our fleet and come down and crew with us sometime, or maybe get those other Fixed Keel guys to race some the next time we host that event:)

I would love to crew with some of you guys sometime, just so I can learn how to handle the boat better.
This is my first boat, so racing it is a little ways off just yet.

She looks just duckie Ben. Nice job. I'll bet not having the keel box in the cabin makes for a nice little micro cruiser on the Salish Sea.
